The reform of housing and utilities sector

One of the key directions of Mariupol development strategy is the reforming of housing and utilities services. The plan of action provides the development of the market for housing management services.

The priority in the creation of condominiums and organization on the basis of enterprises of housing and communal services agencies in providing quality services to homeowners for maintenance and service of residential houses.

On February 10, 2016 on the platform of NGO Mariupol Development Fund the City Council arranged the "Center of assistance" to the benefit of citizens in cooperation with the Department of Housing and Utilities infrastructure development. The purpose is providing of consulting and legal assistance for the representatives of community decided to create a community of condominiums and manage their own housing.

The "Center of assistance" arranges educational trainings and seminars for the initiative groups and the population self-organization authorities (OSMD) for housing reform and shift to new forms of housing management, introduces with the legislation regulating the creation and condominium operations, assists the co-owners of multi-apartment buildings and conducts information campaign on condominium benefits. NGO Mariupol development fund is designed a brochure with a practical guide and explanations for all multi-house co-owners who have decided to create condominiums (OSMD). Informative brochure with legislative base, step-by-step guidance on how to create condominiums is accessible to everyone online.

Participation of OSMDs in competitions of mini-projects will be an additional financial incentive to switch to the condominium. NGO Mariupol Development Fund initiates a competition "Cozy yard", the winners of which will receive grants for the improvement of curtilage and will be able to improve their living conditions.
