Discussion with International Partners on Issues of IDPs’ Adaptation

Yesterday the Mariupol Development Fund presented for international partners the achievements of the city concerning providing of integration for IDPs. The event was held within the framework of Mariupol development strategy. The Head of the UNHCR field office Lipcanu Dinu, the office representative OCHA Martha Adamovich and UNICEF representative Yulia Artemenko attended the meeting.

During the cluster, international practices and effective approaches to solving the problem issues - providing housing and jobs for the IDPs, were discussed.

"It was important to get feedback and an expert opinion of people who participated in the programs for assistance of migrants in other countries affected by the conflict. Our international partners proposed a number of steps, which we have taken into operation ", - the executive director of the  Mariupol Development Fund Tatyana Lomakina said.

Also today a sub-cluster for children's rights protection was held. The focus theme was providing the psychological assistance to the children. It was decided to involve in the process the help of parents. The activities without their active participation are ineffective.
