Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Starts a New Project

The international organization “Médecins Sans Frontières” starts a new project of "psychological health" on providing psychological and social as well as medical services for aged people in Mariupol.
Such a commitment was undertaken today during the meeting of the Committee on social policy, medicine and environmental issues, working on the platform of the NGO MDF, which was attended by the representatives of the international organization and social services of the city.
Nowadays, more than 3,000 aged people are registered in the Social Services of Mariupol. About 1,200 people, suffered from the military conflict, asked the organization “Médecins Sans Frontières” for help and almost 60% of them were in need of psychological support.
"We have a team of psychologists who can provide an expert help. They can teach people simple relaxation techniques, practical skills to solve their problems, the art of communication and self-confidence ", - said the project manager “Psychological Health” Sybil Rulf.
Mobile clinics of the organization “Médecins Sans Frontières” and the territorial social services centers will provide help and assistance to the aged people.
"It was extremely important for us to arrange such a cooperation. But it is just the beginning of our Fund mission of. We will continue involving international organizations in order not to leave any aged person without attention” - summarized the Chairman of the MDF Committee Ulyana Tokareva.
