Minister of Culture Joined to Discussion of Mariupol Development Strategy

Today, in the office of the Mariupol Development Fund, a pilot strategy session took place in the framework of the development strategy “Mariupol 2021”. The directions of the development of "New cultural platform" were discussed with the participation of Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevhenyi Nyshchuk, the representative of the parliamentary committee on culture and spirituality Sergei Taruta.
Joint development of the public, government and business, case studies and forecast figures will include the base of the strategy draft that have shaped the development of promising projects in Mariupol in all spheres of activity.
"Focusing on people, we do the process of forming of the strategy open. It will be a living mechanism that will lead us to the ultimate goal. Mariupol will be a modern, interesting and comfortable city in which you want to live,"- the Mayor of Mariupol Vadim Boychenko said.
The new cultural platform is one of the key areas of the Mariupol development strategy. There are many active and talented young people, who should be considered as the main emphasis. It is time not only to import the culture in Mariupol, but to export and develop local initiatives.
"The majority of the Ukrainians knows Mariupol as an industrial center. In fact, Mariupol is a historic region with its history, culture and traditions. Out city should become a tourist center. Investors will be able to see how rich this region is. We will be more communicative and we all take off an old propaganda that says that people in Ukraine are different ", - the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevhenyi Nyshchuk underlined.
Sergei Taruta noticed that a person is the main value around which we should build a foundation for the city's development on the important principles: freedom and safety, health and environment, economic and cultural development.
