Today the Mariupol Development Fund held a meeting between the leading medical experts and the representatives of the World Health Organization. The main topics for discussion were about the prevention of HIV / AIDS and tuberculosis.

According Olga Golubchenko, Chief of the Health department of the City Council, the situation of tuberculosis, HIV / AIDS remains complex but controlling in Mariupol.

"The city has a huge influx of immigrants that creates additional problems. It is important to make a diagnosis, to identify the main needs and difficulties which Mariupol faces", - the WHO representative in Ukraine Oleg Storozhenko said.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to submit the protocol of the meeting to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for making specific decisions, they also proposed to resume the work of the Coordinating Council on the prevention of HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis in Mariupol.
