Today, 25 participants of the first "Summer Municipal School" began their training. Ten intense days of training, interesting projects, exciting acquaintance and communication are ahead.

Welcoming the participants, the General Director of NGO Mariupol Development Fund Gennady Semenihin and the secretary of Mariupol City Council Stepan Mahsma expressed their belief that the participation in the project will be an excellent base for new ideas, which implement into interesting projects in practice for further city development.

During the training, experts will familiarize school students with the best international practices of municipal governance. In the first day of summer school, Stepan Mahsma introduced the students to the principles of public administration, European urban management practices, as well as discussed separately the issues of decentralization and local governance reforms.

After municipality school, the active students will be added in the reserve units and structures of the municipality, and the graduates will be able to pass a competition for filling vacancies in local government.

Let us remind "Summer Municipal School" is a joint project of NGO the Mariupol Development Fund and the Mariupol City Council, aimed at management training for local authorities.
