IOM got interested in social project of Mariupol

Today the representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have arrived to Mariupol with a monitoring mission. They consider the possibility for our city to participate in social infrastructural projects implemented by the support of the Government of Japan.
A month ago authorities of Mariupol sent an application for funding the project "Support for the stabilization of communities who have suffered the consequences of the conflict in Donbas" to the IOM. The donor can invest to the project up to 30 thousand dollars.
During the visit the guests got acquainted with the city and talked with activists of local public organizations. The final conclusion will be announced by the monitoring mission in two weeks.
"Mariupol is one of the cities who have applied for a grant. Now we are studying all the projects and proposals for the repair of social facilities and urban infrastructure in which you can create a public space ", said the representative of IOM Olga Ershova.
The International Organization for Migration have started its activity in Ukraine since 1996.
