Today, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Andreas von Bekerat during his visit to Mariupol met with the activists of the youth movement in the office of the Mariupol Development Fund. A discussion was on the topic about successful European future of Ukraine.

Swedish Ambassador was interested in the views of young people on the development of a civil society, changes that have occurred in Mariupol for the past two years, and the role of the youth in promoting the initiative reforms.

The participants talked frankly about problems and disappointments. They argued about the readiness of Ukraine's accession to the European Union and discussed the possibility of support for structural reforms from European countries.

Youth leaders believe Mariupol needs a crucial support from the foreign partners for implementation of training programs, exchange of experiences and development of international relations. Young people are ready to take responsibility and become the driving force that will pull Ukraine to a new level.

"Sweden is a big supporter of Ukraine. I am pleased that the younger generation is very optimistic about Ukraine’s future. Your creativity, your desire to change the country, to make it better than it was yesterday, - it means a lot", - the Ambassador of Sweden said.
