The public discussion "Public Opinion of the Donbas: common attitude, key problems and ways to solve them" will take place on October, 10 at 10:00 in the premises of the Donetsk State University of Management (Mariupol, Airedomna str.7, Room 104).

 

Facilitating team is represented by “Democratic Initiatives” Foundation named after Ilk Kucheriv with the assistance of NGO Mariupol Development Fund.
 
Participants: Aleksey Garan - Research Director of the “Democratic Initiatives” Foundation named after Ilka Kucheriv, professor of political science at NaUKMA;
Pyotr Burkovskii - Head of the Department for the Development of the Political System of the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS);
Ruslan Kermach is a political analyst of the "Democratic Initiatives" Foundation named after Ilk Kucheriv.

How do residents of Donbass evaluate the activities of local authorities and their ability to control its work? What succeeds, and what is not?
 
Decentralization and its first results: what do the residents of the region think about it?
 
What are the main problems faced by today's residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions? What strategy should be for solving these problems?

 

Public activity and the role of civil society institutions in the Donbass.
 
Public, political, and electoral opinion: who is likely to be supported by residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions?
 
Do the residents of the controlled territories of Donbass stay in touch with their relatives and friends who are on uncontrolled territories? How the conflict did affect their communication in general?
 
During the public discussion, you will receive a press release and infographics with the results of a representative poll conducted by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation named after Ilk Kucheriv in July 2017 in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the financial support of the British Embassy in Ukraine.
