Today the contest “Brightlights of neighborhood – 2018” was announced for condominiums in theconference-hall of NGO “Mariupol development fund”. This year, the territory ofthe competition has significantly expanded. Participants from Bakhmut,Kramatorsk and Rubezhne, in addition to condominiums of Mariupol, will makecomfortable their own houses and yards.

The contest“Bright lights of neighborhood” is implemented by non-governmental organization“Mariupol Youth Union” in partnership with Mariupol City Council and NGO “Mariupoldevelopment fund” in the frame of the project “Ukraine Confidence BuildingInitiative”(UCBI II) financed by the US Agency for International Development. The ideaof the project is consisted in reviving good traditions of communication betweenneighbors.

100 condominiumsfrom Mariupol, 30 from Bakhmut, and 20 from Rubezhnoe and Kramatorsk consequentlywill take part in the contest. To do so, they need to apply an applicationform. After registration, participants of the contest will get for free setsfor decoration of their houses – Christmas trees and garlands.

Under the termsof the contest, residents will decorate houses by themselves. All who wishescan attend master classes of décor. The winners will be those, whowill invite as many neighbors as possible, arrange a real holiday for the wholeyard and put in a good mood. By these criteria the jury will assess the processof decoration and a result as well.

“Changing thespace of our lives, making it more cozy, comfortable and festive, we will certainlyget better. Happiness is impossible without warm communication, nice andfriendly circle. Who if not the neighbors, with whom you live side by side formany years, can become real creators of the atmosphere of kindness, prosperityand order", said Sergei Pustovoychenko, the Project Coordinator.

The contest willlast till sixth of February. The winners will get valuable gifts.
